Bad weather

After school mariachi and Shidler baile folklorico follow the Oklahoma City Public Schools (OKCPS) calendar and weather cancellations, if OKCPS cancels for any reason, we also will cancel class. Classes at Cristo Rey High School will follow Cristo Rey’s calendar and emergency weather procedures.

Attendance Policy and Behavior

Students need to attend class but we understand situations arise for students and parents may don’t always make this possible. Students are expected to take instruments home and practice. Students must be on their best behavior, it is a privilege to be a part of this program and students can be dismissed if they are being disrespectful to other students or staff. Performances

Students may perform throughout the year for different types of events. Information will be sent ahead of time about these opportunities.

Academia OKC is a program of Scissortail CDC, a non-profit that helps families with their student’s education.
